Sunday, April 18, 2010 11:20 had a major, major scare yesterday. my family sans my elder sis went to ikea to search for storage items. it was nearing isyak and we still wanna go to giant, so my mum and eldest sis prayed maghrib first while me and dad went to search for our car to put our ikea items. so we reached the carpark, and we went to the exact lot, only to find that our car... isn't there. our lot was distinct cause we know we parked near the entrance, the next lot beside it was a lot for families with prams, and the same gold-coloured car was at the lot. but our lot, was occupied by a white car. so we search every row, twice, thrice, went back to the same lot and searched again. my dad pressed the car button but there was no sound. once in awhile there'll be, but it was from other cars. everytime i heard a car sound, i'll be like, ayah picet eh? and he'll be like, ayah tak! we were both carrying heavy items so my dad asked me to wait at a corner for him to put the stuff while he searched again. by then i was trembling and sweating and crouching and cursing and asking dz what to do. dz was asking me to think clearly, the car will be there but i wasn't listening to his advice. i was seriously going to cry any moment. my dad came back and said, kerete takde, hilang agaknye. he wasn't as worried as me but he was more like confused. i was imagining the worst, like some thief using a crowbar to crack open the window and pulling the wires underneath the passenger side dashboard and you know, do those wires to wires thing to start the car. in the end my dad came back and called to my mum to hurry back. a good 45 minutes had passed by then and when she and my sis came down to the carpark, she saw my dad and she said, bang, kerete kat bawah lah, carpark lagi satu. KWANG KWANG KWANG. seriously! my sis was laughing uncontrollably, my mum was like, haiya you two ah, my dad was so sheepish! and so was i of course. how we both forget about the carpark at level one was a mystery to me. my dad was even contemplating to tell security. sheesh. most stressful 45 minutes of my entire life, seriously. even stressful than waiting for exam results and the likes. the bad thing was, i was panicking and not thinking clearly. if i was abit more calm and had listened to dz, it wouldn't have happened this way. but s'okay, it served as a lesson but the memory of yesterday was something i'll never forget in years! |
